Founded by myself, The Queen of Conch, a “true island woman” with deep roots in New Providence Island, Charlie’s Conch Shack is more than just food, it is a cultural experience. The tender conch carries the essence of Bahamian sunshine and seaside vibes, prepared for adventurous food lovers seeking something special- every bite tells a story.
Named in honor of my late father, who was a respected and beloved Bahamian police officer affectionately known as “Charlie,” the Shack embodies a legacy of love, family and resilience. He inspired me to pursue my passions, and through this business, I am keeping his spirit alive. Whether you are indulging in a taste of the tropics for the first time or seeking a nostalgic reminder of the islands, Charlie’s Conch Shack invites you to savor the unforgettable flavors.
Since my grand opening at the Duluth Reggae Music Festival in July 2024, Charlie’s Conch Shack has quickly gained a reputation for its bold, flavorful dishes and its friendly, island-inspired atmosphere. The Shack is not just about food, it is about connecting people to the heart and soul of Bahamian culture and inspiring others to follow their dreams, just as I did.
